Interview with Kim Woojin
deerzone:
1. Congratulations on releasing your first mini-album "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 : 未成年, 𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗿". What is the album's main idea that you wanted to share with your listeners?
Woojin:
This album contains the emotions from the experiences we have before we go out into the world as an adult. That's why I used the word 'a minor'. I believe you also have experienced or are experiencing these moments so you can also relate to it.
deerzone:
2. What inspires you to write lyrics?
Woojin:
Since I am still new to this, I don't have a fixed routine to write lyrics. From my recent experiences, it seems like I get the most ideas when I am lying around at home at night or when I am in a quiet place.
deerzone:
3. Your pre-debut single "Still Dream" focuses on not giving up in the face of hardship. What, in your opinion, is the best way to achieve a dream?
Woojin:
I believe in giving it my all so that I don't look back to my past with regrets. I think that's how I have been leading my life so far. I also encourage the readers to also work towards and chase their dreams!
deerzone:
4. What is your biggest dream in life at the moment?
Woojin:
I do have a dream now! To be able to see my fans and perform in front of them in the same space! I debuted but it's a shame because I couldn't see my fans in person. I hope things get better soon to make this dream come true.
deerzone:
5. What is something you've never tried before but would like to try?
Woojin:
I talked about this before, but I am also interested in acting. I will try hard to prepare for this. If there is such an opportunity, I'd like to try it.
deerzone:
6. What would you like to tell people who suffer from online haters and bullies?
Woojin:
These things do happen often in everyday lives. As you mentioned, false rumors were spread and it gave hard times even to those around me. But I believe if you believe in yourself, good things do happen! Really..! I hope that there won't be any people suffering.
deerzone:
7. You've been through very tough times. How have you overcome those? What is the best strategy for you to deal with hardship?
Woojin:
As I always say, I believe that when bad things happen, good things also happen! Like a rollercoaster ! So I think it's important to keep advancing forward with a positive mind. However, I think everyone has their own methods. I hope everyone can find their ways to overcome hardships.
deerzone:
8. What was your impression of the 10x Entertainment's "Finger Killer" documentary when you watched it?
Woojin:
Before the video was released, my company just told me they were making something for me but I did not know exactly what or in which way it was being made. After seeing the video, I liked how they use humor to explain such a heavy topic.
deerzone:
9. You've been to Russia before. Do you have any strong memories from your visit to Moscow?
Woojin:
First thing I noticed was that Russian fans are very passionate! Also, the architecture was also very beautiful. If given the chance, I'd love to do a concert in Russia!
deerzone:
10. Could you say something to your fans, CUBS, in Russia and to people who have never heard your music before?
Woojin:
Thank you very very much to all my Russian CUBS who have been enthusiastically cheering me on. This album is just the start! I hope for the days where I can meet and see all of your faces. Let's go all the way! Я тебя люблю!( that's "i love you!' right~?)
If a building becomes architecture, then it is art
