INTERVIEW

LEEBADA

Hello everyone! My name is Leebada. Actually, I'm very interested in Russian movies. Hope you'll listen to my songs and give them lots of love. Thank you. Russia, I love you~
#deerzone:
Please, tell us a little bit about Stage&Flo
Leebada:
"Stage&Flo" was a competition where lots of admirable artists participated. I also joined it since it was a nice opportunity to show my skills. Luckily I won the first prize and got a chance to work together with great musicians and release a new single album "High".
#DEERZONE:
Which musicians did you work with?
LEEBADA:
GroovyRoom and PENOMECO. I'm so happy to have worked with them!
#DEERZONE:
You're a songwriter, right? What is your favorite self-written song?
LEEBADA:
I think most of my song are different because I work with a variety of genres. I do love each of my songs but my favorite one is probably "Believe What You Want". This is not a love song, this is a song about my feelings as a young kid.
#DEERZONE:
Please, tell us about the members of the band you were performing with?
LEEBADA:
Oh, they're all so cute and friendly! I've been friends with them since I was young so it feels like they're my family, my brothers. They're really lovely and professional at the same time.
#DEERZONE:
The next question will be about your first concert. You've got all the tickets sold out in 10 seconds! How do you feel about this? What do you think your fans like in your music the most?
LEEBADA:
Well... maybe my voice? (laughs) And maybe the feelings I put into my songs. Because although all of us are different, we speak different languages, use different words I think music is just another language and people can communicate through it.
#DEERZONE:
Your cover of the song by ZICO sounds great! Do you have any plans on making another cover or any singer in your mind?
LEEBADA:
I'd like to do a cover of one of Billie Eilish's songs. I have a SoundCloud account so I'll upload it as soon as it's ready.
#DEERZONE:
We've listened to your today's performance and the last song you sang was really touching. Can you tell us about it?
LEEBADA:
The song is called "Painting" and it's about a break up. When I walk up the streets I usually come to a thought that the sky is like a paper which is painted with clouds. So the song is about the ones whom I loved and parted with. And I wanted to paint all of them on the sky. This song is sad but cool at the same time. The meaning is that although you feel lonely you can still paint all your precious memories and it'll be okay.
#DEERZONE:
You debuted four years ago in 2015. How did you changed as an artist during that time?
LEEBADA:
I think my music has changed a lot. And I believe it's getting better and better. As an artist I don't want to stick to a certain music style I want to try new things and I'm trying to create some new style in music. So, yeah, my music has changed a lot compared to 2015. And I'm also going to try a lot of new things in the future. You know, I like love songs but I'd also like to try writing songs just about the world and its people, about world in peace and try expressing my feelings more. Because I definitely have more than one side in me. I can be cool, I can be lovely and so on. And I want to put all these feelings into my new songs.
#DEERZONE:
You've said that you have a lot of different sides in you. Would you like to try acting in the future?
LEEBADA:
Well as for me music is already kind of acting. And since music is like a movie I'm a little bit of an actress too. Also if you watch my MV's you can also see a little bit of acting there. You know, there's always that tiny piece of fiction in a song so I'm always trying to express it both in music and in a music video.
